Staff Photos

Meet your summer camp 2010 staff! Aren’t they grand? A lot of old faces, some new faces, and a couple weird faces. Here is a full list of this year’s staff, listed in the order in which they display below, which is in no particular order. Sorry, that was confusing. You get it:

Nursing Home Visit 2009

On Thursday morning we went as a group to Mitchell Manor, the local nursing home about 10 minutes from camp grounds, to sing some songs and play some bingo with the residents. The residents could not have been happier. We were very impressed with the way the campers integrated with everyone and so was the staff at the Nursing Home. We were there for about 2 hours. Here is a photoset from the visit, and hopefully we’ll be able to post video from the singing.

Teachings & Singing

Luke gave a teaching entitled “Growing Up” for the second teaching block on Wednesday. Audio from the teaching was recorded (along with audio from all of the teachings) and will be included in the camp packets distributed at the end of the week. There was also some amazing singing and praising on Wednesday, probably some of the best singing we’ve ever heard at camp. Pictures from both events are included in the following photo set.

Sports, Sports, Sports!

During afternoon free time many of the campers and staff engage in sports such as basketball, volleyball, Ultimate Frisbee, kickball, and football. Wednesday particularly saw some great games of basketball and volleyball. Check out some photos from the games and read the caption below each photo for a description.

We’re ready to go back out into the real world, but we’re really going to miss camp, as always. Divine Liturgy just wrapped up and the campers are beginning to clean up the grounds, pack up their stuff, and prepare for the journey home. The campers will have a final counseling group and then Luke will give the final challenge, which usually consists of a wrap-up of the teachings at camp and how to … Continue reading
