Camp Olympics & Luau

Tuesday was another hot and sticky day at St. John’s Camp 2012, and definitely a day full of excitement.  The campers participated in several olympic “stations” that ranged from passing a hula-hoop over a line of them holding hands, to eating skittles topped with whipped cream using only their mouths, and trying hard to get NO whip cream on their faces.  Very few accomplished this task… After olympics we all headed up to the pool for the annual Luau that Mr. Bob Abel and Mr. David Becker setup every year for the campers and staff.  This year they were joined by former counselor & camper, Sarah Pittman & Michaela Trent – thanks for coming down and helping ladies!  As usual, the Luau setup was amazing, however the weather refused to cooperate.  Storms rolled in and ruined any chance of getting in the water, but thanks to Bob & David’s quick service, everyone got to enjoy Tiki Bar Ice Cream Sundaes before heading back to their cabins.  A BIG thank you to Bob & David, Sarah & Michaela for all your hard work and the wonderful ice cream!  We love having you here every year!
