The Emmaus Retreat is just around the corner and we hope to see you there on Saturday, October 19th!

The Emmaus Retreat is a day-long retreat open to all ages where families are encouraged to come together to connect with other families of different parishes throughout the Midwest and the country. The event provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and reconnect with our brothers and sisters as we learn, pray, and grow in the Faith.

This year, we are very excited to welcome Fr. Justin Patterson, rector of St. Athanasius Orthodox Church in Nicholasville, KY, as our keynote speaker. St. Athanasius is deeply committed to parish and community outreach and has developed many opportunities over the years for individuals to participate in this. Fr. Justin will be speaking on ways in which we can engage more fully in our own parishes and communities and in the life of the Church. There will be three separate, hour-long sessions throughout the day. Childcare and children’s activities are available during these sessions at no extra cost. Lunch will be provided and the rest of the day will be left open for recreation and fellowship. Our day will conclude with Great Vespers in the evening.

The cost of the Emmaus Retreat is $25 per person, and children 2 and under are free! If you are in need of financial assistance, please speak to your local parish. There are also a small number of scholarships available through St. John’s Camp Programs’ Scholarship Fund. More details at St. John’s Scholarship Information. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, and pass this event along to as many folks as you can!

To register, just hit the “Register Now” button at the bottom of this page. Day-of registrations will be accepted, however we encourage you to register in advance to save some time at check-in at the retreat.
